The Juice Box T-Shirt | Unruly Thread Activist Streetwear | Bella + Canvas 3001
Saying Free Palestine doesn't make us anti-citrus.
For decades the smear has worked: any voice raised against the actions of a state gets rebranded as a voice raised against a people. Anti-war becomes antisemitic. Solidarity becomes hate. The conflation gives cover to a project — a project older than this war, and on the record.
THE STORY
The shirt names the trick by reducing it to a juice-box pun — because that's the actual size of the rhetorical move. Saying Free Palestine doesn't make us anti-citrus. It doesn't make us anti-Jewish. It makes us anti-genocide. Those are different sentences and they have always been different sentences.
THE RECEIPT
A juice-box character on the front. Wake-orange "Anti Citrus" against neutral type behind it. Small. Ridiculous. Sweet. If a six-word line about juice holds up against the accusation, the accusation was never the argument. It was the leash.
WHY THIS MATTERS
People have lost jobs over this conflation. Students have lost visas. Reporters have lost desks. The line on this shirt is the line a lot of us have wanted to say out loud and have been told not to. Wearing it is saying it.
WEAR IT
The march. The dinner table where the conversation has to happen. The pickup line. Anywhere a juice box wouldn't feel out of place — which is everywhere.
